Hunter Burbidge was called to serve in the Philippines, Cavite Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS Church – or “Mormons”) from August 14, 2013 for a two-year period.  He has a twin brother, Tyler, who is also serving a mission in the Philippines but is assigned to the San Pablo mission. Hunter’s mission is just south of the Manila metropolitan area and is relatively small and urban.  He will spend his days teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of that area through proselytizing, performing service, and working with fellow members of the church there.

The climate in the Philippines is tropical, so that will be a big adjustment!  The area also receives a fair amount of tropical storms and monsoons so Hunter is looking forward to a different climate indeed!
